Vanessa Aguillar
Brazilian Level and Game Designer with over 4 years of experience in game development and 8 years of architecture experience creating real-world spaces. Working on both AAA and indie titles across FPS, adventure, racing, action, casual, and card games in multidisciplinary teams of different sizes.
With 5+ years of experience in Unreal Engine, I work with blueprint scripting, level scripting, asset implementation, and optimization, ensuring levels are both functional and immersive.
Before transitioning to games, I spent 8 years in architecture and urban planning, bringing an architectural perspective to level design. This background helps in crafting spaces that are not only visually engaging but also intuitive, immersive, and rich in gameplay possibilities.

I truly believe that games have the power to change people. They help us get through tough times, push us to grow, bring us together, and create unforgettable bonds. Games can make us feel good, spark deep thoughts, and even move us emotionally. And that's why I want to create games that welcome everyone, and make people feel at home in this crazy world that we live. Through them, I want to say, "Hey, it's okay. Everything will be all right."
Games and Architecture
As an architect I had my own office for 8 years, working on residential, commercial, and interior design projects.
I had the pleasure of working as a professor in the game design undergraduate programs, teaching 3D modeling, animation, and game design. Additionally, I participated as a thesis evaluation committee member and project advisor. I also currently work as a volunteer at Mentorias Games Brazil, guiding people who dream of working in the games industry.
I've had experience in game jams as a mentor and participant in events such as Women Game Jam, and I have been involved in organizing the Imune Game Jam. I actively contribute to the gaming community through live streams, workshops, podcasts, and interviews, always seeking to create a pleasant, safe, and inclusive environment for everyone involved.
